The Great Rift Valley

Picture
On a rainy Friday, David, Daniel, Josphat and I slid into The Great Rift Valley on our way to Nakuru. Outside of Nakuru, we visited with Josphat's parents and viewed the land where the Kitengela UUs grow maize for their posho mill.
The Great Rift Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a geological wonders. It is 3,700 miles long. It's deepest section is in Kenya north of Nairobi. If you've seen the pictures of hundreds of flamingos on a lake, those are taken in The Great Rift. This is where the most ancient evidence of humanoid life has been found including the famous "Lucy."
