The Beautiful Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Picture
Of all the resorts in Amboseli, the Serena is closest to the foot of Mt. Kiliminjaro. It is a beautiful 4-star resort and spa through which I booked my entire safari. Not only do they supply robes and slippers, but you will also find bug spray and a flashlight in your room. The entire hotel is decorated with hand painted murals of the wildlife that surrounds the lodge. Even before I left the grounds for my game drives, I got to observe banded mongoose hopping over the lawns and a population of vervet monkeys so large that a Maasi warrior stands guard over the buffet. The traditional arrangements on safari are game drives at dawn and dusk, 3 fabulous meals included with your room and sundowners (happy hour) overlooking the savannah. I've become very fond of Tuskers.
